My entry for the Face Your Fear Contest.

Gerascophobia- Fear of growing old. (from the Phobia List)

I worked really hard on this one. I hope that it shows. I want it to portray both the fear and how someone is facing it. I also added this "doll-like" feel to the model. I'm scared of those porcelain dolls with big eyes.

Original size is 3000x3000px, 300 dpi without the white framing. I spent around 7 hours on this, if not more. I really like how the hair is painted in this one. It's also my first time using the liquify tool. It's not obvious but I also pentooled some of the spider webs.

This is one of the pieces that I'm really, really proud of. Doesn't happen often.

Wow. I was considering an entry to that contest but whew! The competition just got a lot tougher. This is awesome! The painstaking detail you've added here really shows. Best of luck! :D

Absolutely stunning. The girl's facial expression is so carefree whilst the border around her is dead and 'hanuted forest' image, really making her face pop.

It's very unique and I applaud you for it. Hell, no, a standing ovation. This piece definitely deserves to win that contest and a spot in the Daily Deviations page.
